Chambers of Commerce in the Region

The Texas Midwest Chamber Cooperative is an initiative launched in October of 2007 in compliance with Senate Bill 10 passed by the 78th Texas Legislature, which provides a way to form a cooperative pursuant to the Health Insurance Portability and Availability Act, section 150.001, et seq., Texas Insurance Code.

Texas Midwest Community Network (TMCN) formed the Texas Midwest Chamber Cooperative (TMCC) for the purpose of offering businesses the opportunity to qualify for discounts on employer group health insurance only previously available for large employer group plans.

FirstCare Health Plans developed and administers health care benefit plans (HMO and PPO) that are available exclusively to members of TMCC.

Chambers of Commerce/Business Associations, as TMCN Associate Partners, offer local business members the opportunity to join the TMCC making them eligible to purchase the health plans.

Businesses enjoy another advantage to Chamber of Commerce/Business Association membership.

JOINING = $AVING

• Business, as a member of the local Chamber of Commerce/Business Association, joins Texas Midwest Chamber Cooperative for a minimal fee (membership is not required for obtaining a quote)
